Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2027 runs from 10 to 14 January in Abu Dhabi, and its exhibition, the World Future Energy Summit, takes place at ADNEC from 12 to 14 January. Masdar has hosted the week since 2008. In 2026, according to the organisers, ADSW attracted more than 60,000 attendees and over 800 speakers in more than 240 sessions, and the World Future Energy Summit featured 515 exhibiting brands.
For energy companies, technology suppliers, investors and the organisations that sponsor the week, these five days put the whole sustainability sector in one place: summit sessions, leadership panels, country pavilions and a full exhibition floor. Video is what keeps that effort working afterwards: a stand film for the sales team, recorded sessions, expert interviews and short clips that go out while the week is still running.
This guide is for exhibitors, sponsors and agencies booking a videographer for ADSW and WFES: what to film, how to tell a sustainability story, crew size, sound and access at ADNEC.
What to film at ADSW and WFES
Decide what you want to publish first, then plan the filming around it. Most exhibitors and sponsors need some of these:
- Your stand before opening. Design, branding and products without the crowd, filmed calmly before the doors open.
- Technology and products. Renewable energy, storage and climate technology are hard to show on a stand, so plan close-ups of equipment, models, screens and live demos that work as separate short videos.
- Summit sessions. Your speakers on stage, filmed with two or more cameras and clean sound, so each session becomes a full recording and a few highlights.
- Interviews. Your leadership, engineers and partners explaining a project or a result in one or two short answers each.
- Visitors, meetings and signings. The stand busy with delegations, conversations, handshakes and agreements.
- Social clips during the week. Vertical videos of 15–45 seconds that go out the same day, while people are following the event.
If you need photos as well, book a photographer with the same crew.

Telling a sustainability story
Audiences at ADSW have seen many videos full of wind turbines, green leaves and big promises. What works is proof. Build the story around one real project: where it is, who built it, what changed and how you measure it. Combine stand footage and interviews at the summit with material from the project itself, so the video shows the work, not only the exhibition. Use the figures your sustainability team has approved, and let your engineers speak in their own words; a short honest answer convinces more than a polished script.
How many videographers you need
For a single stand, two videographers is the setup we recommend: one stays with the planned shots and interviews, the other covers visitors, details and anything unexpected. At ADSW many companies have a stand at WFES and a speaker at a summit session at the same time, and that needs two separate crews. With three or more videographers, a production coordinator keeps the schedule.
Think about the days, too. The first day of the exhibition, 12 January, draws the most attention, and many exhibitors film it fully, then book shorter blocks for specific sessions, signings or VIP visits.
Sound in the halls and on stage
Exhibition halls are loud, and the microphone on a camera picks up the whole hall. Interviews and vox pops need a separate sound recordist with wireless microphones and the right equipment, so the answers stay clear. For summit sessions, ask the technical team in advance for a feed from the venue's sound desk. Plan interviews in a quieter corner of the stand or just outside the hall, with a time slot for each speaker.
Same-day clips
If you want to post during the week, plan an editor on site: footage goes from the cameras to the editor during the day, and short clips are ready in the evening, sometimes within hours. Without an editor on site, the stand film usually comes after the event, on the delivery date agreed before it.
Access and accreditation at ADNEC
WFES exhibitors normally register their crew through the organiser's exhibitor services, with badges, build-up times and rules on where filming is allowed. Many ADSW sessions are invitation-only, so access for the crew to a summit session has to be arranged separately, through the organiser or the team managing your speaking slot. Check the exhibitor manual early, send the crew names in time and confirm which areas of ADNEC the videographers may film beyond your stand.
What it costs
Our rates for event filming apply to ADSW and WFES as well:
- Videographer: AED 3,500 for a half day (up to 6 hours on site, even if the event is shorter) or AED 4,500 for a full day (up to 12 hours).
- Sound recordist with all the equipment, for interviews and vox pops: AED 2,500 per day.
- Editor on site for same-day clips: AED 3,500 per day (up to 8 hours).
- Production coordinator for crews of three or more videographers: AED 3,500 per day.
- Travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi: about AED 500 per car, and one car takes up to two people of the crew.
- Editing is quoted separately, by the number and complexity of the videos.
These prices are approximate and exclude 5% VAT. Try the event price calculator with your hours and crew, and confirm the exact figure with our producer on WhatsApp.
Plan it now
ADSW comes straight after the holiday season, when many teams are away, so the planning has to happen in November and early December. Book the crew as soon as your stand plan and speaking slots are fixed. Send us:
- your hall and stand number;
- the sessions and events where your company takes part;
- the days and hours you need;
- what you want to receive and by when.
