Big 5 Global 2026 Videographer: Filming Your Stand at DWTC

Big 5 Global 2026 takes place from 23 to 26 November at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The organiser's report for 2025 counts 2,866 exhibitors and 85,093 attendees from 169 countries. Around the main show run seven co-located events (Heavy, Totally Concrete, Marble & Stone World, Urban Design & Landscape, HVACR World, GeoWorld and Future FM), so the halls cover everything from concrete and stone to air conditioning and facility management.

For a materials manufacturer or a machinery brand, those four days are a run of meetings with contractors, developers and distributors. Video keeps that work going after the show: product clips for LinkedIn, technical explainers for the sales team and a stand film for next year.

This guide is for exhibitors and agencies booking a videographer for Big 5 Global 2026: what to film on a construction stand, how many people you need, how to record clean interviews next to running machinery and what to send the crew.

What to film at Big 5 Global

Construction buyers are technical people. They want to see how a product is made, fixed and tested, not only a busy stand:

  • The stand before opening. The show opens at 11:00 on the first day and at 10:00 on the others, so the early morning is the time for clean wide shots of the stand, the branding and the full product range.
  • Materials up close. Textures, cross-sections, joints and finishes, filmed with macro lenses and controlled light. These shots serve product pages and short posts for months.
  • Machinery and live demos. In 2025 the Outdoor Plaza hosted live demonstrations of machinery and equipment. A demo usually runs several times a day: film it wide, close and from the operator's side, and you have a full edit.
  • Installation steps. If your product is fixed, poured, sprayed or assembled, ask your team to show it step by step on the stand. A one-minute clip on how it is installed answers questions that a brochure cannot.
  • Technical interviews. Engineers and product managers explaining one feature each, in plain words, with the key figures added on screen later as text.
  • Visitors, meetings and signings. Contractors and distributors at the stand, handshakes, signings, and talks if your people speak at the summits.
  • LinkedIn content. Most construction marketing happens on LinkedIn. Ask for square and vertical versions with subtitles: people watch in the feed with the sound off.

Need photos for press releases too? Book a photographer in the same crew, so video and photo do not compete for one spot.

How many videographers you need

For a single stand, two videographers is the setup we recommend. One works through the planned list: interviews, product close-ups, installation steps. The other covers visitors, meetings and anything that happens unexpectedly. If you also run demos outdoors, exhibit in more than one co-located show or have a full programme of talks, plan three or more videographers with a production coordinator who keeps the schedule.

Many exhibitors film the opening day in full and book shorter blocks on the following days for a specific demo, signing or VIP visit.

Sound next to running machinery

Halls are loud, and a construction show adds engines, compressors and power tools, all picked up by a camera microphone. For interviews and vox pops, book a separate sound recordist with wireless microphones and the right equipment. Record interviews before the doors open or away from the demo area, and give each speaker a time slot. Record the machines too, cleanly and separately: it makes a demo clip feel real.

Same-day clips

The posts that work best go out while the show is still running. With an editor on site, footage moves from the cameras to the editor during the day, and a short recap is ready by the evening. Without one, the stand film comes after the show, on an agreed date.

Access and accreditation at DWTC

DWTC is in the centre of Dubai, on Sheikh Zayed Road. Exhibitors normally register their crew through the organiser's exhibitor services, and the exhibitor manual sets the badge deadlines, build-up times and rules for filming beyond your own stand. Outdoor and machinery areas can have their own safety rules, so ask early what the crew needs to wear and where it may stand during a demo. Send the crew names in time.

What it costs

Our rates for event filming apply to Big 5 Global as well:

  • Videographer: from AED 600 per hour when you book 4 hours or more; shorter bookings cost more per hour, and the minimum booking is 2 hours.
  • Sound recordist with all the equipment, for interviews and vox pops: AED 2,500 per day.
  • Editor on site for same-day clips: AED 3,500 per day (up to 8 hours).
  • Production coordinator for crews of three or more videographers: AED 3,500 per day.
  • Travel: DWTC is in Dubai, so there is no travel charge.
  • Editing is quoted separately, by the number and complexity of the videos.

These prices are approximate and exclude 5% VAT. Try the event price calculator with your hours and crew, and confirm the exact figure with our producer on WhatsApp. For the wider picture, read how much an event videographer costs in Dubai.

Plan it now

Late November is one of the busiest stretches of the season for video crews in Dubai, and the best camera positions on a stand are planned with the stand builder, not on the day. Book as soon as your stand plan is fixed and send us:

  • your hall and stand number, and whether you also exhibit outdoors;
  • the days and hours you need;
  • the demo schedule, interviews, talks and signings that must be filmed;
  • what you want to receive, in which formats and by when.

Why Fat Cat Media

We are a Dubai production company with our own crew, filming events since 2012. DWTC is familiar ground: our crew filmed GITEX Global there in 2023 and 2025. We have also filmed Expo 2020 Dubai, five Globe Soccer Awards ceremonies in a row, and the World Future Energy Summit and Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week at ADNEC. See how we work on our exhibition videography and conference videography pages, read how we film GITEX and other trade shows and our GITEX Global 2026 guide, or send us your stand number on WhatsApp.
